An Online Video Conference of Urban Transit and Sustainable Networks (UTSN) – 3rd Edition

Introduction

The 3rd edition of the conference on “Urban Transit and Sustainable Networks” will be organized by IEREK in 2019 using the video conference techniques in order to optimize the benefits to the authors by improving communication, hence, leading to more productivity. Besides, it will decrease the expenses and save time wasted on travel for those who aren’t capable of travelling or just don’t have enough time.

Sustainable development has a great concern throughout the world due to the several changes that occurred in the environment and socio-economic aspects. One of the main components of the desired sustainable development is enhancing the transportation systems network and transit area that connects the central areas to different sides of the city and its adjacent areas.

Cities need efficient public transportation, which is forever, a vital factor that enhances the quality of life for people when it supplies the daily demands of movements to the different parts of the city.

Therefore, Transportation and Networking Systems are the basics of growing cities, because transportation as a service and its infrastructure is the backbone of the cities’ components. For that reason, IEREK continuously organizes a series of conferences on Urban Transit and Sustainable Networks (UTSN).

The conference’s main aim is to target new strategies that can be implemented by modern means of transportation without it negatively affecting and harming the urban environment or the environment, in general. The conference discusses the advances in planning transportation systems and new technologies emerged in that theme. It discusses the role of transit areas, hubs, and dry ports in enhancing the freight transport system and delivery.

The conference discusses the effect of land use on the planning of transportation network which includes the socio-economic aspects; it covers all types in the peak time of transport considering the environmental impact.

The conference assures that there are many ways that the modern world is already thinking of implementing and have already started implementing in order to enhance the effect of transportation on the environment. For instance; the availability of smart cars and other eco-friendly ways of transportation which do not require too much energy and may even not require non-renewable sources of energy in order to start the transportation process.

The conference under this target aims to benefit widely on a large spectrum for all different types of participants. Whether you are still a student, a researcher, a professor, or a decision-maker, you are welcome to submit your research so we can work together towards spreading knowledge and enhancing the research in this aspect.
